Salvation and living out God's Word.

Who is Jesus?

Picture

At the beginning of time Adam and Eve were created and placed in a perfect garden, in a perfect world. They were given just one rule... Do not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Adam and Eve were tempted by Satan and ate from that tree because it looked like it was good. This was the beginning of sin. Since that time all people who have ever been born are born with that sin in their lives. As a result of that sin man was no longer able to have a relationship with God.

Genesis 3 - Romans 5:12 - Romans 3:23

God promised that He would send a Savior to to bridge the gap between us and God. Repeatedly throughout the Old Testament God revealed His ultimate plan to send a Messiah to provide the perfect sacrifice for our sins.

Over 2000 years ago God kept His promise and sent Jesus to be born on earth in human form. Jesus was the impossible... 100% Perfect in all ways. This perfection made Him the only possible sacrifice for our sins.

John 3:16 - II Corinthians 5:21 - I John 4:14

At the age of 30 Jesus began His public ministry, revealing to us the nature of God with His every word and every action. Following 3 years of ministry He died an agonizing death on the cross. It is because of this death that we can have a relationship with God. Perfect blood had to be spilled in order to cover the sins of mankind. This was all a part of God's plan to redeem, or buy back, His creation (us) from the sin that we had sold ourselves into. On the cross that day He took on all the sins of mankind, past, present and future so that we could stand cleansed before God the Father. Three days later He rose from the dead, proving once again that He is the Son of God.

Romans 5:8 - 1 Peter 3:18 - Titus 2:14

So What Does All Of This Mean For You?

Picture Picture

It means you don't have to worry about whether or not you're going to heaven. You can know, right now, that your salvation is assured. God loves you and that's why He made a way to have a relationship with you.

Ensuring that you have a home in heaven is as simple as ABC. Why not choose Christ today?

A - Admit that you're a sinner. God's Word tells us that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. None of us are perfect. That's why we need the saving blood of Jesus to cleanse us from our sins.
(Romans 3:23)

B - Believe that Jesus is God's Son and that He died on the cross for your sins, paying the price so that you can go to heaven. The Bible tells us that if we believe on the Lord Jesus Christ we will be saved.
(Acts 16:31)

C - Confess to Jesus that you are a sinner in need of salvation and ask for Him to take your old life and give you a new one, one that you will live for Him. God's Word says that if we confess with our mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in our hearts that God has raised Him from the dead we will be saved.
(Romans 10:9)

So Guess What?

If you followed through with those steps, and meant it with all your heart, you are now a child of God. No one can ever take that from you. God's Word often compares us to sheep, and Jesus is called the Great Shepherd. In John 10:27-29 Jesus said, "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.
