Our Story

On February 28, 1965, Fellowship Baptist Church held its first service at Shady Lane Elementary School on Livingston Avenue with 26 present. In 1968, the church moved to its current location and has been growing ever since. The founder and pastor, Dr. William Dinoff, has been faithful to proclaim God's Word and reach out to the lost since the beginning of our church's history.

In December 2009 Pastor Tony Liuzzo became pastor of Fellowship and stands before the church as we continue to grow and minister within our community.

At Fellowship Baptist, we emphasize building strong, meaningful relationships with others while learning the practical principles from the Word of God. Whether you are single or married, young or old, FBC is the place to be!

We constantly seek to develop new ministries that will enable us to be more effective in ministering to the people of Fellowship Baptist Church. Our goal as a church is to build people's lives in the Word of God and to prepare them to do what God has for them.

A Rich Heritage

Fellowship Baptist Church began on February 28, 1965 through the leading and ministry of Pastor and Mrs. Dinoff. It all began at Shady Lane Elementary with 29 in attendance. The church began to grow week by week, and on October 28, 1965 the church was officially organized with 26 charter members. The church began to look for land with the financial help of Akron Baptist Temple, and four prime acres of land were purchased in July 1967. The first building was completed and dedicated in November of 1968.

PictureIn 1969, the church purchased their first bus, and seven riders came the first Sunday of this new ministry. The church continued to grow, but expansion was needed. More land was purchased in 1970, and ground was broken for a larger Sunday school building in the summer of 1971. By 1975 the church was ready for a new sanctuary. God provided once again, and the new 1500 seat sanctuary was completed and dedicated on May 15, 1977 with a record breaking crowd of over 2600. God has richly blessed Fellowship Baptist Church and continues to do so.

We thank God for using Fellowship Baptist Church to reach souls for the glory of God!
